August’s HES Ball is Almost Here Newsletter

Oh wow! What a Summer! It’s been mighty swell, but as we thank the warm weather for slightly BBQ-ing us a few times last month, we must look forward to the slow slow decline of heat into the *voice changes to demon.mp3* DEPTH OF WINTER AND SNOW.

Ahem–sorry about that. Anyways, in the meantime, it’s still nice outside! It’s still a great time to be alive and we got tickets for you to buy for our Annual Hand Eye Society Videogame Ball next month, so get on that so you can sit with us. 😉

Also, can I just say that we have the best members? With your support you’re helping put Hand Eye Society on the map! Thanks for your support, and you’re welcome for the discount! ❤

Don’t forget, there’s Google Calendar, in which you can check out all of the events here in one handy, downloadable place!

You can also submit news about Toronto/GTA games and events to calendar@handeyesociety.com at any time before the month in which the event takes place (preferably with a week to spare), post to our Facebook Group (as long as it’s relevant to local games/playful media and doesn’t violate our Code of Conduct), or @ us on Twitter for a RT.

BREADWINNER – JOBS/GIGS/OPPORTUNITIES/DEADLINES

Oh, and WordPlay 2019 submissions close this MONTH. You know what to do.

A survey is being conducted by the Game Arts International Network with funding from Ontario Creates and the Canada Media Fund to provide game creators with a resource to discern which in-person game events (conferences, festivals, showcases) might benefit them and their game the most. We encourage any game creators (commercial or not) who have attended in-person game events outside their own city to fill in this short survey! Deadline August 7
