We want to begin this announcement by recognizing and thanking Brendan Lehman, our Program Coordinator, who, in addition to their existing duties, has been acting as Interim Executive Director. Brendan has made significant contributions to Hand Eye Society over the last year, as they led our organization through one of our most challenging times. 

Following a comprehensive search, Hand Eye Society is pleased to announce the appointment of Victoria Kucher to the position of Executive Director of the Hand Eye Society, effective February, 2024.

Victoria Kucher is an arts leader and accomplished filmmaker with over 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles in Toronto’s non-profit sector. Her passion for arts and culture has propelled her to create a recognized and respected profile both locally and internationally. Previously as the Head of Production with Secret City Studio, leading the production of new immersive games, and currently with the Canadian Film Centre guiding emerging creators, Victoria puts story and mentorship at the center of her work. 

With expertise in programming, strategic planning, fundraising, and team management, Victoria has established herself as a versatile and influential figure in the arts industry. Victoria believes that leadership means being transparently values-driven, innovative, and building community-centered programs to become a conduit for change.  

“I look forward to building strategic partnerships and continuing to build on this incredible legacy which has already contributed so much to the Toronto game community,” said Victoria.
