WordPlay 2015 is happening Saturday! Our previous update gave you a quick overview of our mainstage events, but did you know that we’ve got even more planned? Check it out!
  • The WordPlay 2015 Showcase: A curated collection of 25 playable writerly games for you to enjoy in one room, featuring notable creators such as Porpentine, the catamites, Davey Wreden, and more!
  • The Choosatron: A Choose Your Own Adventure®-inspired story printer, blending digital and analogue storytelling. WordPlay will feature a dedicated room with Choosatron machines that are pre-loaded with a variety of family-friendly Twine games.
  • WordPlay Workshops: Interested in learning to make your own writerly games? Sign up for a free introductory workshop in one of the three tools, including:

Twine – Presented by Megan Patterson (Intergalactic Diving Squad)
Inform – Presented by Emily Short (Galatea)
Ren’Py! – Presented by Patrick Rainville (The Hum Beneath Us)

Workshop spaces are very limited, please register ASAP. The workshops are in partnership with the Toronto Public Library’s Digital Innovation Hub.

Also, please help us spread the word by RT’ing this tweet, or by sharing our event on Facebook.

We look forward to seeing you there! Please direct any questions to Will O’Neill, Festival Director, via will@handeyesociety.com.

We have a Safer Spaces Policy you can review. At WordPlay, you can ask any volunteer (identified by the lanyards) who the Safer Spaces Officer is if you’d like to bring something to their attention.
