Intro to the Torontrons: A Free Toronto Games Week Workshop for Game Developers

As part of Toronto Games Week 2026, Hand Eye Society is hosting Intro to the Torontrons, a free, hands-on workshop for game developers interested in arcade-style exhibition, custom controllers, and interactive public showcases. The workshop invites participants to step inside the Torontrons, Hand Eye Society’s custom arcade cabinets, and learn what it takes to get a game ready for arcade-style exhibition.

About the Workshop

Step inside the Torontrons, Hand Eye Society’s custom arcade cabinets, and learn how to get your game arcade-ready. This hands-on workshop introduces game developers to the Torontrons and shows them how to prepare their games for arcade-style exhibition. By deconstructing the machines and exploring their internal electronics, participants will learn how to adapt their work for classic and custom arcade controllers and discover new possibilities for public exhibition and interactive design.
