Oh hey! You feel that? That’s the electricity in the air. The keyboards are warming up. The games are waiting to be played. That’s right, Super FESTival is back for 2025, and submissions are OPEN!

Super FESTival is Hand Eye Society’s flagship celebration of videogame arts. This year, we’re back with our Torontron retro arcade cabinets, a full schedule of live-streamed talks and showcases, and we’re kicking it all off with the return of The Hand Eye Society Ball (Saturday, November 1st – tickets available in August). Expect experimental controllers, industry panels, online workshops, and digital deep-dives — all happening November 1–7, 2025, in Toronto and online.

Whether you’re a developer, designer, panellist, workshop host, alt-hardware wizard, or just creatively game-curious, this is your chance to get involved.

💸 All selected participating artists are paid for their festival contributions.

 

We’re looking for:

🕹 Videogames

Completed and released games — commercial, experimental, student, or jam. 

Showcased on Torontron arcade cabinets across Toronto and online via stream + archive.

 

🎮 Alt-Controller / Experimental Games

Custom hardware, interactive installations, or just straight-up weird stuff.

Showcased in person at The Ball on Saturday, November 1.

We prioritize North American submissions and offer modest travel support.

 

🎤 Talks & Panels

Full talks (up to 40 mins), micro-talks (5–15 mins), panels, live playthroughs, fireside chats, and more.

Hybrid format — pre-recorded, livestreamed, or in-person in Toronto.

 

🛠 Workshops

Design sessions, tutorials, tools-forward experiments, and offbeat workflows.

Most workshops are online, but we’re open to Toronto-based in-person sessions too.
