Toronto’s Independent Games & Creative Technology Festival
Started in 2022, Super FESTival brings together years of Hand Eye Society events into one annual hybrid celebration of independent games, digital art, and creative technology. Hosted online and in Toronto, the festival brings together game developers, artists, and players from around the world for a week of talks, workshops, and experimental showcases.
Each year, Super FESTival kicks off with the Hand Eye Society Ball & Exhibition — an evening of games, performances, and immersive experiences that sets the stage for the week ahead.
What began as a multi-day online event has become our flagship festival, connecting creators and audiences worldwide. Every edition features a curated selection of playable indie games, developer presentations, and community events, streamed live through our FEST platform and Twitch channel.
Since its launch, Super FESTival has grown into a hub for Canada’s game development and arts community, making experimental and inclusive game culture accessible to audiences everywhere. All Super FESTival talks, workshops, and showcases are archived below.

Super FESTival 2025 kicks off with the Hand Eye Society Ball & Exhibition, a night of costumes, alt-controllers, and an interactive role-play adventure. Throughout the week, our Torontrons pop up across Toronto with indie games to play, while online and in-person talks and workshops bring developers, artists, and players together. With showcases on our website and live streams on Twitch, the festival keeps the spirit of community and creativity alive both online and off.

Super FESTival 2024 returned with a week of talks, workshops, and showcases celebrating independent games and creative technology. Alongside our online programming, this year expanded into the city with Torontron arcade cabinets installed across Toronto, featuring playable works from our showcase artists. The festival brought together creators and audiences both in-person and online, streamed through our FEST platform and Twitch channel.
