A New Chapter for Hand Eye Society: Welcoming Miriam Verburg as Interim Executive Director

Celebrating Victoria Kucher’s Leadership and Lasting Impact

We’d like to share that after two years as Executive Director, Victoria Kucher will be leaving the Hand Eye Society to take on an exciting new role as Executive Director of Media Arts Network Ontario (MANO-RAMO) at the end of this month.

From managing the organization’s finances and operations to supporting the many artists and developers involved in Super FESTival, workshops and year-round events, Victoria has been instrumental in guiding HES through an important period of growth and transition. Her leadership has been essential to the organization’s continued resilience in a challenging climate, and we are deeply grateful for her dedication, care, and vision.  We wish her continued success and look forward to working with her in her new role.

We, the board, wish Victoria all the best in this next chapter of her career and look forward to continuing to collaborate with her in this new capacity.

Welcoming Miriam Verburg to the Team

The board is excited to welcome Miriam Verburg to the team as our Interim Executive Director! Miriam is the founder of Bloom Digital Media, a game studio dedicated to exploring the intersection of video games and youth mental health. Miriam is no stranger to the Hand Eye Society; she recently served as a mentor with our Futures Forward program. She also teaches at TMU and serves on the Ontario Creates advisory committee.
